We left Thursday, June 25, and basically just drove. Although we had pre packed the coach in the couple of days prior, there was still much to take, including cold food and the cats, and we didn’t get on the road until around 11:00 AM. I have cooked food for the freezer, including meat loaf, and yummy baked oatmeal for those times we want home cooked without the effort!
Stopped just north of Jacksonville, and barbecued hamburgers, but it was so hot, we ate inside! I did walk around the park that evening, and the next morning, where I discovered many long term coaches, with quite elaborate landscaping! Different world!

Drove all day again Friday, making it to Florence, SC, and it was 100 degrees at 6pm, and felt like 105, according to the weather app! Needless to say, we ate in again! It was so hot, I made salad with chicken we had cooked on grill with the burgers the night before. About all we wanted! We were on a lake, and once the sun dropped, I took a walk, but just strolling was sweaty. Clem didn’t even get out of the coach! Lots of ducks around, and a woman feeding them, which was fun to see.
